Growing Strong & Resilient Lives, Families, and Homes

Homestead House web.jpg

Q: What is the Homeschool Homestead?

A: Located on one of the region's original homesteads, we took 65 acers, and a 2-room shack out of a 54-house development to share our adventures as new generation homesteaders and preserve this way of life for future generations to experience and enjoy.

The Homestead hosts the R&D, and training centers for Brain Armor, Homestead Kids, and 7 Mountains Christian School & College, providing events, workshops, and classes.

Q: Is this a co-op?

A:  The Homestead is an education center that hosts several learning venues. It is not a co-op although we do provide classes to homeschool families and the community.

A:  We are the developers of Brain Armor, and global leaders in neural-ed curriculum for child and family life development. Brain Armor "fixes" generations of broken education practices and social engineering that's changed how the mind process information... and we do all this in dynamic, camp-style classes where kids have a blast!

Q: What does Brain Armor do?

A:  Neural education is absolutely vital for proper cognitive and critical thinking skills development. It  helps heal and develop the neural psychological systems that create the heart-mind-body connections. These connections increase academic and social problem-solving skills but more importantly it acts as a brain shield to protect a child's vulnerable, and highly malleable identity.

Q. Do the kids work with the animals?

A:  Yes, the kids learn animal husbandry, working wtih the animals as part of their homesteading classes.

Q. How do the homesteading & traditional skills classes work?

A:  Like real homesteaders, farming, planting, chick hatiching, calving, processing and preseving have seasons that flow from one to the next. We follow natures calendar and place our attention on real-time skills that you can apply in your backyard homestead.

Q. Why do you teach performing arts, homesteading, core, & ministry classes together?

A:  Each of these serves a different purpose in neuralpsychological and community development to create heart-mind-body connections.

A:  Yes. Our K-8 programs meet the requirements for school choice funding. 7 Mountains HS is a course-based program emphasizing ministry, entrepreneurship, career and life prep so students can simultaneously take their dual credit courses.

Q. Do School Choice Funds Cover Tuition?

Q. Are there scholarships?

A:  Yes, every child in the program is highly subsidized by private funds. Neural-ed programs costs thousands of dollars. We provide these courses and classes as a ministry... but with that we expect those in the programs to do the work and show up.

Q. Why are there two payment structures?

A:  Different reimbursement programs. K-8 is tuition based and HS is course-based. The Homestead Courses and Boise Children's Theater are also course based. If you choose the course-based option, you may attend the coordinating onsite classes.

Q. Is this faith-based?

A:  Brain Armor is based on intrinsic, universal truths to be used in public schools or purchased through most public school funds.

Our onsite classes, however, are part of a spirit-filled, school ministry for children where we believe in signs and wonders, patriotism, the sanctity of family and traditional values, and the equipping of spiritual gifts.

A:  Yes, Homestead Sprouts provides Kids Play for 2-4/5 year olds while moms and siblings are in class.

Q. Is there childcare?
